Hello, I am Debra McGhee! I had the opportunity to coach hundreds of people managers and leaders within small, medium and large organizations, through the people challenges they faced. I witnessed how anxious inexperienced and experienced managers would get when they faced people challenges because they didn't know what to do or what to say.


Being a People Manager isn't easy. Employee's can bring a host of challenges and knowing what to do and say when these challenges come isn't always clear to get the outcomes you hope for. Because of my passion to help People Managers, I wanted to change that with The Coaching Manager training series.

The courses and training I develop are focused on tackling the biggest challenges people managers may face with their employees. The training outlines the steps, actions and behaviors that will drive the best outcomes when these challenges arise. And just as importantly, what is needed to avoid or minimize them in the future.


So what's my training approach? I take my coaching style and really try to reflect that in my training. I am not here to be judgy or preachy. Quite the opposite. I really try to meet managers where they are at. I talk about real issues, real challenges, and real people and take what I have learned and translate it into easy to follow steps and actions so people managers can experience repeatable wins, boost their confidence and achieve really positive outcomes for their employees.


It's also important to note that the training is structured into short video segments because I know managers are stretched with all they have on their plates. The training is always accessible and is condensed as much as possible to enable managers to complete it quickly and implement their learnings right away.

1 on 1 Coaching

Sometimes training isn't enough. Wouldn't it be great if it was!


One on one coaching provides managers the opportunity to put a challenge on the table, situational or ongoing, and have a real and objective discussion with the Coach about the concern(s), the obstacle(s), and the goal(s) and work together on developing your next steps.


The coaching sessions are confidential unless agreed upon in advance and provide a supportive and trusting environment to discuss real concerns, real issues and work on real solutions.

Team Coaching

Challenges on teams can bubble up where an external coach can be very beneficial.


Employee Survey

They survey results are back and the scores indicate there are concerns on the team. Don't throw in the towel or spend precious time figuring out who to blame. Rather, it's important to figure out how you can gain essential information so you can get things back on track. Once you know what the key obstacles and drivers are, it's time to focus on actions that will drive meaningful improvement.
